Early Years Practitioners - An Amazing Early Years setting

Salary: Paying up to £24,000pa

Located: Croydon

We're searching for charismatic candidates who are eager to contribute to fun day-to-day activities with the little ones. This large setting offers their children regular activities including soft-play, yoga and music sessions, swimming lessons, playball and lots of fun activities in the large garden.

Responsibilities:


  • Make sure that the children's safety is a priority at all times.

  • Provide high-quality, flexible childcare for families from the local community.

  • Establish positive working relationships at all levels, collaborating with parents and other staff members.

  • Be approachable, friendly, and able to communicate effectively at all times.

  • To be flexible within working practices of the setting. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the setting, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc

  • Look upon the setting as a "whole" where can your help be most utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of children.

  • To respect the confidentiality of information received.

  • To develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key person.

  • Plan and deliver activities in accordance with the EYFS framework.

  • To keep a proper record of achievement file on your key children and for parents/carers.

  • Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.

  • Liaise with and support parent/carers and other family members.

  • To be involved in out of work hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings & events.


Requirements:

  • Ideally qualified Level 2/3

  • Nursery/Nanny/Teaching Assistant/Childminding experience

  • Knowledge of the EYFS and legislation

  • A great team player and ability to adapt quickly to new environments

  • Good communication with both consultant and Nursery setting.

  • Use initiative and be proactive

  • To keep a proper record of achievement file on your key children, for parents/carers

  • Support all staff and engage in a good staff team

  • Liaise with and support parent/carers and other family members
