Early Years Educator


Located: West Finchley

Salary: Paying up to £22,000 per annum


Our client, based in West Finchley is currently looking for Nursery Practitioners to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate. Our client is looking for someone who is hands-on, dedicated, and passionate about providing the best care to the children.

The nursery is built upon passion for excellence and innovation in child care and preschool education. They are a 5-Star recommended Nursery focused on a curriculum designed around how children learn, introducing young children to elements of world culture to which they might not otherwise be exposed. They have a baby room - Cot Room - Toddlers Room - Garden with play equipment and climbing frame - sensory room - Library - Kitchen - Early Years Studio - Performing arts studio - Visual Arts Studio.

Responsibilities:

  • To keep a proper record of achievement file on your key children, for parents/carers.

  • Liaise with and support parent/carers and other family members.

  • To be involved in out of work hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings & events.

  • To be flexible within working practices of the setting. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the setting, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc.

  • Look upon the setting as a "whole" where can your help be most utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of children.

  • To respect the confidentiality of information received.

  • To develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key person.

  • Plan and deliver activities in accordance with the EYFS framework.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • The candidate would need to hold a Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Childcare and Education or equivalent qualification.

  • Have gained at least 1 years experience within a nursery setting.

  • Knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and health and safety.

  • Have proven organisational skills.

  • Must have excellent communication skills in English - spoken and written.
