Soar Recruitment is looking for an experienced Early Years/Education Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. We specialise in Education Recruitment and Early Years Recruitment and will be moving into other related sectors.

As an Early Years Recruitment Consultant, you're the vital link between clients and candidates. The role is demanding, diverse and involves:

  • visiting clients to build and develop positive relationships with them

  • developing a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do, their work culture and environment

  • advertising vacancies by drafting and placing adverts in a range of media.

  • using social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships

  • headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work

  • using candidate databases to match the right person to the client's vacancy

  • receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and tests and creating a shortlist of candidates for the client

  • briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question

  • organising interviews for candidates as requested by the client

  • informing candidates about the results of their interviews

  • negotiating pay and salary rates and finalising arrangements between clients and candidates

  • offering advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates, training and career progression

  • working towards and exceeding targets that may relate to the number of candidates placed, a value to be billed to clients or business leads generated

  • reviewing recruitment policies to ensure the effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programmes.

  • Expanding the client base by actively sourcing new business and develop positive relationships as well as maintaining positive and effective relationships with existing active and dormant clients

  • Be the key account manager for individual clients ensuring that the client’s needs are met and that the services provided deliver to the required financial targets

  • Reporting to the director daily with an update of your current pipeline

  • Management of clients/candidates needs and expectations

  • To ensure employers and candidates are fully supported throughout their customer journey

  • To support the wider Soar Recruitment management team with operational duties and development strategies.

The successful candidate will inherit a patch that already has an established client and candidate base ready for someone with the vision to expand its potential and grow its market share. We promote consultant's treating their patch as their own business, creating strong client and candidate relationships and thinking of innovative ideas to grow the business and gross profit.


What we are looking for:

  • 360 Recruitment experience ideally within our sector or a closely related sector

  • Experience placing perm/temp roles

  • Experience in compliance checks

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Hard-working and keen to get stuck in!

  • Sales-minded with the confidence to pick up a phone and win clients

  • Self-motivation, determination, energy, drive and enthusiasm

  • Excellent organisational and time-manage skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a busy workload

  • Confident, articulate, presentable and professional

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships

  • A resilient, positive individual with a can-do attitude

  • We would consider candidates who have been Recruitment Resourcer, Recruitment Coordinator or Internal Recruitment Consultant.

Salary: up to £23,000 per annum plus commission
