Job description


We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Children's Home Registered Manager to come on board and help establish a children's home based in South Croydon.

This is a perfect time to be joining the team, as we are currently going through the Ofsted registration process and are keen to create a supportive effective team to deliver great care and service to the young people we care/support to achieve their full potential to improve future outcomes.


As the Children's Home Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the home meets the needs of the young people in our care and provides a safe and nurturing environment.

The home is a 4 bedroom home for young people aged 8 – 17 with Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs(SEMH) including those with mild Learning Disabilities (MLD).


Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the children's home

  • Ensuring that the home complies with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards

  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that the home is safe, effective, and responsive

  • Recruiting, training, and managing a team of care professionals

  • Providing leadership, guidance, and support to staff to ensure that they deliver high-quality care services

  • Ensuring that care plans are developed and implemented in line with the needs of individual young people.

  • Monitoring and reviewing care services to ensure that they are meeting the needs of children and young people and their families.


Requirements:

  • Registered Manager with Ofsted or willingness to register.

  • Level 5 in Leadership & Management ideally or commitment to achieve (paid for)

  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role

  • Strong leadership and management skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills.

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.

  • Experience in managing budgets and resources

  • Passionate about providing high-quality care services for children and young people.
