What Qualifications Do You Need for Residential Care Roles?
If you’ve got a caring heart, a calm head, and a genuine desire to support children and young people - you’re already on the right track. While some roles are open to those just starting out, many positions will benefit from the following:

A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards it)

Experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable individuals

Strong communication skills, resilience, and lots of empathy
